"The heaviest things I carry aren’t in my hands — they’re in my head."

It’s the to-do list running in my mind while I’m on the phone.

It’s the reminder to book the dentist, check the school email, pay the bill, follow up on the work project, and call Mum back.

It’s the constant mental tracking of everyone else’s needs, moods, and schedules.

The invisible load isn’t just the chores or tasks — it’s the responsibility.

The remembering.

The unspoken pressure to keep every plate spinning without letting one crash.

If you’ve carried it for long enough, you almost stop noticing… until one day you wake up and realise you’re exhausted — and not a single thing on your mental list was just for you.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

It doesn’t get lighter unless you share it. Ask for help. Out loud. Without apology.

Some of it was never yours to carry. Let it go.

Your needs aren’t last on the list. They belong at the top with everyone else’s.

The invisible load may be unspoken — but it’s real. And the moment you start speaking about it, the weight starts to shift.

💬 What’s one thing you’re putting down this week? Drop it in the comments — and maybe you’ll inspire someone else to put theirs down too.
